Second stage - Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Bali

The second of my adventures is now finalised -
below is a taster of where I'll be visiting.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll be kicking things off at the Fullerton Hotel, Singapore next April
After a couple if days in the city I then join the relatively small
cruise ship Silver Shadow (only 380 passengers) for a
journey along the coasts of Thailand and Vietnam.
First stop is the beautiful island of Ko Samui off the coast of Thailand
From there we cruise along the Thai coast to Bankok,
where we stay overnight (!)
Next stop is Ho Chi Minh, the largest city in Vietnam, where
we again spend the night.
The next day we're off to Nha Trang, well known for it's
splendid beaches and scuba diving
The final stop before disembarking is Chan May, otherwise known as Da Nang, at the mouth of the Han River which flows into the South China Sea.
Following the cultural diversities of Thailand and Vietnam, I then crash firmly down to earth for a few days in Hong Kong, staying at the unassuming and understated Peninsula Hotel
For the final couple of weeks I head off to
Indonesia, and the incomparable island of Bali.
 I'm flying Cathy Pacific which I feel will give me a marginally better
chance of actually arriving than if I were to take Bali's own Lion Air.....
Lion Air pilots have managed to write off nine aircraft since 2002!
Assuming I land safely, I start off in Bali's highlands,
staying a few nights at the Chedi Club in Ubud
Finally I head to the coast for lazy end to the journey at
The Legion in Seminyak, which boasts some of the most
stunning sunsets in the World
...and in the beginning
There are two indisputable axioms in life: "you can't take it with you" and "what happens if you were to get run over tomorrow by a bus".
It's true, you can't. So I decided to distribute my limited resources amongst a number of travel agents, airlines, hoteliers, restaurateurs and other worthwhile, needy causes. All in the name of research, you understand.
Living in one of the remotest areas of rural Dorset, I'd be lucky to see a bus in a month of Sundays. Still, I reckon the chances of getting hit that particular Sunday would be quite high (Sod's law states that "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual"), so I'm taking no risks by travelling round the globe by plane.
Smart, huh?
First stage - Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Dubai & Oman
My adventures begin next February, when I'll
be flying out to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
